When you connect the camera for the first time, the camera's time will be synchronized with the phone's time.
If it comes up with the wrong timestamp next time you drive, it could be due to the following reasons.
-
The reason for the incorrect date and time stamp is related to power. When the car is parked and the camera is out of power, it cannot keep the timestamps correct.
-
Most cameras have built-in lithium batteries. If the lithium battery is defective, the camera's timestamp will be wrong. You need to replace the lithium battery yourself or contact us to replace the camera. During the camera warranty period we will replace your camera for free.
-
If the battery is working properly, the camera's timestamp will be synced to your phone's time after you first connect it.
-
If the camera is connected directly to the fuse box, but the timestamp is wrong, then the yellow wire (Constant power BAT+) is not connected correctly and you need to use a multimeter to find the correct Constant power BAT+ again.
